Linked infocodes are not displayed as expected in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 POS

Symptoms

Assume that you have two infocodes that are linked in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 POS. One of the infocode is set to be displayed in transactions. In this situation, when you create a transaction for an item, the infocode is displayed correctly. However, the linked infocode is not displayed as expected.

Installation information and prerequisites

This hotfix includes updates for two components of Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 POS. The prerequisites and installation instructions vary by component. Install the appropriate update on each computer on which the affected component is installed.

For the Retail POS update


You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail 2009 R2 POS installed. 

Before you install the hotfix, close Retail POS, and make a backup of the store databases. Extract the hotfix files to a folder, and then, in the retailpos subfolder in the extract location, double-click AxUpdate.exe. Follow the instructions in the Setup wizard. When installation is complete, restart Retail POS, and log on as usual.

For the Retail POS Plug-ins update

The hotfix installer performs a complete install of the plug-ins. If you have an existing installation of the plug-ins on the computer, you must uninstall the existing plug-ins from Control Panel first. If you want to do code comparisons, make a backup of the plug-ins install folder before uninstalling.
To install the updated plug-ins, extract the hotfix files to a folder, and then, in the retailpospluginsforcustomers or retailpospluginsforpartners subfolder in the extract location, double-click AxUpdate.exe. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard.

Restart requirement

You may be prompted to restart the computer after you install the hotfix.

File information

The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, start Retail POS and, on the logon screen, verify that the release number is 5.0.1506.714.
