Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a computer that is running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

  • You connect the computer to a remote desktop by using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) 8.1 through a Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) server over User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

In this scenario, the remote desktop session constantly disconnects and reconnects.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods to obtain and install the update. Notice that this update has prerequisites.

Method 1: Windows Update
