Read receipts are available in Outlook Express version 5.01 and later. You can configure Outlook Express to request a receipt for messages you send when the recipient has displayed your message. Read receipts are useful when you are sending time-critical information, when you want confirmation that your message has been received, and so on.
To request a read receipt, use the appropriate method:
Read Receipt for Individual MessagesTo request a read receipt for individual messages, click Request Read Receipt on the Tools menu in your new message.
Read Receipt for all MessagesTo request a read receipt for all messages:
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Receipts tab.
- Click to select the Request a read receipt for all sent messages check box, and then click OK.
