Make sure your phone’s operating system supports the Microsoft Band app. Then, download and install the app.
To use the Microsoft Band, you need to have the Microsoft Band app installed on your smartphone. Even if you don’t have a band, you can install the Microsoft Band app on any compatible phone, and use it to track your steps and calories while the phone’s in your pocket.
You can explore data gathered on the band or the phone in the Microsoft Health web app. For more info, see Your Microsoft Health web dashboard.
Before you begin
Check your phone’s compatibility
Make sure your phone is compatible with Microsoft Band. For a list of required operating systems and phone types, see Microsoft Band system requirements.
Find and install the Microsoft Band app on your phone
You can also find the app in the Windows Phone Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play™ store.

Finish with some essential personal touches
To ensure that your health and fitness data is calculated correctly, be sure to enter accurate info.
|Step 1:||On the Microsoft Band is all about you screen, enter your info, and tap submit. |
|Step 2:||Enter a name for your Microsoft Band that’s 1-15 characters long, and tap next.|
|Step 3:||Choose a color and a wallpaper, and tap finish.|
