It is not possible to create a text file using the UTF-8 encoding without BOM from the Electronic Reporting (GER) framework

Symptoms

You may require creating a TXT file using the UTF-8 encoding without BOM character using the Electronic Reporting (GER) framework. Along with encoding, the option "Suppress BOM characters" can be specified for the FILE format element in the Component properties form of the Operations designer. But it takes no effect: the created file is UTF-8 but always contains BOM.

Workaround: It is possible to workaround the issue by identifying and removing the illegal characters using external editor after file creation.

Resolution

The changes in the hotfix contain the code modification that allows to create text files using the UTF-8 encoding and suppressing BOM character.
