Electronic reporting (GER) is enabled to consequently generate outgoing documents and update the Dynamics application database by using same data and within one run of a single GER format

GER is enabled to generate outgoing documents and import incoming ones from external files. But currently, in can be done only in separated runs of different ER formats since a single format can be designed to handle either only incoming or only outgoing documents. Therefore, information that is generated during the execution of a format that is generating an outgoing document can’t be stored in the Dynamics database by using GER. It can be done only with a new update of the Dynamics source code which makes GER framework less flexible for end users managing the lifecycle of business documents in the application.

With this new functionality introduced, a single GER format can be designed to generate an outgoing business document (for instance, a payments’ message) and to update the Dynamics database within one run of this format. The information that was populated to an outgoing document (for instance, the identification code of a payments’ message that has been dynamically generated during the creation of an outgoing document with using the logic of an expression defined in GER) can be used to update the Dynamics database.
