You cannot import documents into a meeting after you install the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
Symptoms
After you install the Microsoft Windows-based Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client, you cannot import documents into a meeting. For example, you cannot import Microsoft Office Word documents, Microsoft Office Excel workbooks, or Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations into a meeting.
Cause
The Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) print driver is required to import documents into a meeting. Additionally, administrator permissions are required to install the MODI print driver. If a user who does not have administrator permissions tries to install the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client, the MODI print driver cannot be installed.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, use an account that is a member of the local administrators group to install the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client.
More information
Unlike earlier versions of the Microsoft Office Live Meeting client, the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client has a user mode installation option that lets users who do not have administrator permissions install the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client. The LMSetup.exe application installs the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client according to the permissions that the user has. If the user does not have administrator permissions, the user can still install the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client. Additionally, the user can participate in meetings with some limitations.

Note The user mode installation option is not supported in Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
