Symptoms
Assume that you use SQL Server 2017 Master Data Services (MDS) Add-in for Excel. When you use the Excel Add-in Attribute Search to select data from long drop-down list, you may notice that the feature does not work. This issue occurs because the MDS has the Display Format set to "Name {Code}" and the selected value will be inserted with the format "Code {Name}".
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
