Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
You install one of the following products:
- Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 Beta
- Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 Release Candidate
- Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 Evaluation
You upgrade the product to a retail version of Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2010.
You try to start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
In this scenario, you experience one of the following issues:
Issue 1
SQL Server Management Studio does not start, and you receive an error message that resembles the following:Note

Issue 2
SQL Server Management Studio starts. If you click About on the Help menu, you receive the following message:Note
SQL management tool will expire in <number> day
Cause
This issue occurs because SQL Server Management Tools are not upgraded in the upgrade to System Center Data Protection Manager 2010.
