Microsoft Azure IaaS VM Logs

Summary

In order to troubleshoot most issues that are related to Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Support may collect files from your Azure IaaS virtual machines (VMs). These files will include most common log files, diagnostics information, system-generated event logs, and debug logs.

IaaS Disk "Extended Information" for Linux VM

 
Information on Linux VMs will include the files below in addition to basic partition names, file system formats, the Linux distribution name and version, a directory listing of /var/log and a directory listing of /etc/udev/rules.d. Due to differences across Linux distributions, it is unlikely all of the files listed below will be present on a particular VM.
