Description of the SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package (Ppsmawfe-x-none.msp): October 30, 2012


This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package that is dated November 2, 2012.


Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create an Analysis Services data source that points to a tabular database in a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services instance.
    • You use the data source to create an Analytic Grid report in a dashboard of PerformancePoint Services for SharePoint Server 2010.
    • You add a Top-10 filter and a multi-select filter to the Analytic Grid report in the dashboard.
    • You deploy the dashboard, and view it through a web browser.
    • You apply the Top-10 filter and multi-select filter to the Analytic Grid report.
    In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

    Error running data source query.

    Contact the administrator for more details.
