FIX: The STRelate and STAsBinary functions return unexpected results when trace flag 6533 is enabled in SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 3


Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included in the previous SQL Server 2012 fix release.

Symptoms

You install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 3 (SP3). When you enable trace flag 6533 to improve the performance of query operations that use spatial data types, the STRelate and STAsBinary functions return unexpected results.
