The following list represents products retiring or reaching the end of support in 2021. Upon retirement or end of support, there will be no new security updates, non-security updates, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates.

Service Packs: The following service packs will end support in 2021. To remain in support, customers must move to the latest service pack. Initial releases (RTM) of a product are considered Service Pack 0. When a new service pack is released, customers will have 12 or 24 months of support to allow time to transition to the latest service pack. For more information, see our Service Pack Policy.

Products moving to Extended Support: The following products will be moving from Mainstream to Extended Support in 2021. Extended Support lasts for a minimum of 5 years and includes security updates at no cost, and paid non-security updates and support. Additionally, Microsoft will not accept requests for design changes or new features during the Extended Support phase.
