The ISV tab is shown in the ribbon on all grids and forms after you upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

Symptoms

After you upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, the ISV tab is shown in the ribbon on all grids and forms.

Cause

This behavior occurs because the ISV config file is migrated into the ribbon when the system is upgraded. This file has the following XML structure:

<TabDisplayRules>
 <TabDisplayRule TabCommand="Mscrm.Isv.Global">
  <PageRule Address="*" />
 </TabDisplayRule >
</TabDisplayRules >

Resolution

This behavior is by design.

You can update the RibbonDiffXml part of the Customizations.xml file to set PageRule to meet your system requirements.
