Symptoms

After you modify an orchestration of a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 project in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, a build operation for the BizTalk Server 2010 project fails, and code segments might be removed from the orchestration. Additionally, you might also receive the one of following build errors:

  • mismatched 'braces' '{}'

  • unexpected EOF

Note This issue might also occur when you try to build a BizTalk Server 2010 solution that was converted from a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 or Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 solution in Visual Studio 2010.

Cause

This issue occurs because of an access violation that occurs in the Btsmetadataom.dll module.

Note Orchestration Designer in Visual Studio 2010 uses the BtsMetadataOM.dll module.
