Not sure if this is the right fix? We've added this issue to our memory dump diagnostic which can confirm.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You access some network share files on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • Several applications access the same network share files by using the MapViewOfFile() API at the same time.

In this scenario, the system crashes. Additionally, you receive a stop error message that resembles the following message:

STOP: 0x0000000A (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Notes

  • The parameters in this error message vary and depend on the configuration of the computer.

  • Not all "0x0000000A" stop errors are caused by this issue.

Cause

This issue occurs because of a problem in the Rdbss.sys driver.
