Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package that is dated February 28, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create an InfoPath form that contains a repeating table, and the table contains two fields.

    • You create two rules for the repeating table. Specifically, one rule is used to lock the table, and the other rule is used to make sure that one of the two fields is read-only.

    • To sum up the values of one field in the repeating table, you create another field that is outside the repeating table.

    • You publish the form to a SharePoint Server 2010 server.

    • You view the form through a web browser, and then you insert several rows into the repeating table.

    • You enable the two rules for the repeating table.

In this scenario, both fields seem to be read-only. However, you can still change the value in the field that does not have the rule applied. If you change this value, the sum field is not updated.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create an InfoPath form that has multiple views, and the views share one People Picker control.

    • You publish the form to a SharePoint Server 2010 server.

    • You view the form through a web browser, and then you input a user name in the People Picker control.

    • You switch to another view, and then you change the user name in the People Picker control.

    • You return to the first view.

In this scenario, the user name in the People Picker control is not changed as expected.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create a repeating table that contains a rich text box in an InfoPath form.

    • You add a check box that can hide the rich text box when the check box is selected.

    • You publish the form to a SharePoint website.

    • You click to select the check box, and the rich text box is now hidden.

    • You click to clear the check box.

In this scenario, the rich text box is still hidden.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You add a control that has a data validation rule applied to an InfoPath form.

    • You publish the form to a SharePoint website.

    • You complete the form, and this triggers the data validation rule on the control.

    • You rest the mouse pointer on the control.

In this scenario, the error message is displayed outside the web browser window. Therefore, you cannot see the whole error message.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You add an External Item Picker control and a Submit button to an InfoPath form.

    • You publish the InfoPath form to a SharePoint server.

    • You complete the form, and then you click the Submit button.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

There has been an error while processing the form.
