This article lists Microsoft Knowledge Base articles that describe the hotfixes for Windows Installer 4.5 and Windows Installer 5.0. We recommend that you review and install the hotfixes that are described in the "More Information" section.

Summary

This article lists the hotfixes that are currently available for users who use Windows Installer 4.5 and Windows Installer 5.0.

  1. Windows Installer 4.5 is integrated in Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Windows Server 2008 SP2. The redistributable package is also available for the following operating systems:

    • Windows Server 2008 RTM

    • Windows Vista

    • Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)

    • Windows XP SP2

    • Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

    • Windows Server 2003 SP1

    • Windows Server 2003 SP2
