Symptoms

Assume that you run a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SSAS 2012) or in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008). The MDX query has an Aggregate function that is used in a calculated member in a WHERE clause. In this situation, the MDX query returns an incorrect result.

Note This issue typically occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • A unary operator is defined in a parent or child hierarchy.

  • The row member is a drilldown from a parent member.
