Symptoms

When you try to browse tables in a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in on a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012, the MMC snap-in crashes.

Cause

This issue is caused by an access violation that occurs in the Mmc.exe process.
