This hotfix also applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You run two UPDATE CUBE statements in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008 R2), SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012), or SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

  • The first UPDATE CUBE statement updates one of the child members in a parent-child dimension.

  • The second UPDATE CUBE statement uses the USE_WEIGHTED_INCREMENT allocation method, and contains an IF condition to set some data values to "null" in the parent member of the parent-child dimension.

In this scenario, the returned value is incorrect.
