Symptoms
A fragment identifier is not preserved in the Window.Location.href property for a POST request in Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 10.
Note The fragment identifier is a hash mark (#) followed by a short string of characters at the end of a typical URL.
Resolution
Update information
To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.
To install this update, go to Microsoft Update. To enable this update, see the "Registry information" section.

Right-click FeatureControl, point to New, and then click Key.

Type FEATURE_ENABLE_PRESERVEFRAGMENT_POSTREQUEST_KB2893362, and then press Enter to name the new subkey.

Right-click FEATURE_ENABLE_PRESERVEFRAGMENT_POSTREQUEST_KB2893362, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

Type iexplore.exe, and then press Enter to name the new entry.

Right-click iexplore.exe, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 00000001, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
For 64-bit (x64-based) computers
