This article describes an update for Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA) v1.7.

Issues that are fixed in this update

  • After you change the certificate that's used by ATA, the new certificate doesn't populate to the ATA Gateway package. Therefore, the ATA Gateway deployment fails.

  • In some scenarios, detection of the “Identity theft using Pass-the-Ticket attack” type may not work as expected.

Resolution

To fix this issue, download and run the update that's described in the How to get this update section. The update upgrades ATA to ATA 1.7 build 1.7.5757.

Prerequisites

To install this update, you should first install ATA v1.6 with Update 1 (1.6.4317) or ATA v1.7 (1.7.5402 or 1.7.5647). If you have ATA v1.6 (1.6.4103), you must first upgrade to ATA v1.6 Update 1 from Description of Update 1 for Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics v1.6.

To apply this update, you don't have to make any changes to the registry.

Restart requirement

You may have to restart the computer after you apply this update.

This update replaces previously released update 3191777.
