Symptoms
When you run Process Data on a partition in a tabular model of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), you may receive an error message that resembles the following on the first attempt:
ErrorCode="3241541689" Description="Partition '<partition id>' of table '<table name>' cannot contain column segments of different data versions."
However, the subsequent execution may succeed.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
Cumulative Update 6 for SQL Server 2016 RTM
Cumulative Update 3 for SQL Server 2016 SP1
Cumulative Update 6 for SQL Server 2014 SP2
