More Information

After the Event 1010 and Event 1017 errors occur, the SNA Server service performance monitor counters are disabled and cannot be added in Performance Monitor. To re-enable the performance monitor counters, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

  2. Locate the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/SnaServr/Performance

  3. Highlight, and the delete the following registry entries. These registry entries are added to the Performance Monitor key when the errors occur

    • The 1010 registry entry that has the REG_QWORD data type

    • The Disable Performance Counters registry entry that has REG_DWORD data type and a value of 0x00000001 (1)

  4. Close Registry Editor.

After the two registry entries are deleted, the SNA Server service performance monitor counters will be listed as available counters that can be added in Performance Monitor.

Note The following SNA Server service performance monitor counters are not listed in Performance Monitor when the SNA Server service is stopped. This is the expected behavior.

  • SNA 3270 Response Times

  • SNA Connections

  • SNA Logical Unit Sessions
