- You install a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) site that uses a clustered Microsoft SQL Server installation or a remote SQL Server installation.
- You open the ConfigMgr Service Manager tool.
- You right-click the SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP service to query its status.
The ConfigMgr Service Manager tool queries the service name by using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). The Component Manager provider (Cmprov.dll) returns SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP as the service name. This name does not match the actual SQL Server backup service name on the remote site database server.
