When you run the Repro Recorder (Lite) diagnostic, you are prompted to install the following required components if they have not yet been installed on your computer:
- The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
- Microsoft Expression Encoder 4
After the Repro Recorder (Lite) diagnostic has created the recording, you are prompted to uninstall the .NET Framework 4 Extended if it was originally installed by this diagnostic. The following figure shows the dialog box that displays this message:
If you click No in this dialog box, the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is displayed in the Programs and Features item in Control Panel.
If you installed Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 when you ran the diagnostic, you will also be prompted to uninstall it after you capture the recording.
If you click No to in this dialog box, Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 is displayed in the Programs and Features item in Control Panel.
Information that is collected by this diagnostic
- All file names in the data collection are prefaced with the name of the computer on which the diagnostic is run.
- The Repro Recorder diagnostic creates an .xesc file that contains the recording. Use a program such as Windows Media Player to view the recording.
