Symptoms
A large object (LOB) allocator may be leaked when a LOB or off-row column is altered or dropped from a memory optimized table in SQL Server 2017.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
