"Cannot insert duplicate key" error in Dynamics CRM for Outlook

Symptom

After installing Update 1.0 for Dynamics CRM for Outlook 2016, you encounter the following error when tracking an email:

"Cannot insert duplicate key"

When you click details, you see the following additional details

"Cannot insert duplicate key.

Install the December 2016 update for Dynamics 365 (client update).  If the issue persists, please contact Microsoft Support
