This article describes an issue in which WinINet security messages are difficult to read in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.
The WinINet security dialog boxes do not fit the screen in QVGA mode on a device that is running Windows Embedded Compact 2013. The dialog boxes are oversized, and some portions are not visible. Because of this issue, it is difficult (or impossible) to read the security message and respond to the message.
This issue occurs because the WinINet security dialog boxes are designed for standard resolution (VGA) and not for QVGA resolution.
This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:
- On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
- On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
This update does not replace any other updates.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
