During the import of a GER configuration from a repository, the compliance check is performed: the mentioned in this configuration prerequisites (if any) are evaluated against the current application state to find out whether all required hotfixes were installed, whether the current product version is correct, etc.
Prerequisites can be defined in multiple and nested in each other groups of rules. Each group can be one of the following type: either ‘All of’ or ‘One of’. The prerequisites requirements will be considered as satisfied for a group of ‘All of’ type when all requirements from this group is satisfied. The prerequisites requirements will be considered as satisfied for a group of ‘One of’ type when at least one requirement from this group is satisfied.
The problem that in some cases (when the prerequisites rules are defined as multiple ‘One of’ groups with a nested ‘All of’ group containing several application hotfix package updates as prerequisites) even having all required application hotfix packages installed, user may get the negative result of the prerequisites check for importing GER configuration.
To work around this, you may locally save the required configuration as XML file, edit it removing the prerequisites block from this file. Then you can use the GER feature ‘Import from XML file’ for importing a configuration from external XML file pointing to the updated file.
