Not getting the battery life you’re used to on your Surface PC? You might need to make some small adjustments:
Make sure your system is up to date. Select Start > Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and check for updates.
Turn on battery saver. In the taskbar search box, type battery saver and select it from the results. Select Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery falls below, and move the slider further to the right for longer battery life.
Run the power troubleshooter. In the taskbar, search for troubleshoot and select it from the results. Select Power > Run the troubleshooter, and follow the directions.
Check your power cord for any damage. A worn or damaged cord could be causing trouble for your battery.
