Note It is still possible to experience a hibernation problem after you install this fix if the memory becomes highly fragmented. The speed at which this problem manifests is dependent on the software that you run and your particular usage model.
- Make sure that you have the Symchk.exe utility. If you do not, the utility is available in Debugging Tools for Windows. To obtain the utility, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
- Extract the hotfix to a temporary folder. To do this, use the following command: q330909_wxp_sp2_x86_enu.exe –x:\temp\q330909 –u
