Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You save some Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS) reports in a folder on a computer. Some reports have subscriptions.

  • You grant a user the following permissions for the folder:

    • View reports

    • View resources

    • View folders

  • The user tries to view the folder in a web browser by using a query string that contains the following parameter:

    ViewMode=WebpartList

In this scenario, the user receives the following error message in the web browser:

Permissions granted to user <Domain\username> are insufficient for performing this operation.
