Symptoms
Assume that you have an application that uses the Microsoft.SqlServer.XEvent.Linq assembly to read events in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Extended Events files. In this situation, the allocated memory may not be released as expected. Additionally, you may receive an Out Of Memory (OOM) error.
Note SQL Server 2012 Extended Events files contain .xel and .xem files.
