Hidden Partitions are Displayed by the Windows Disk Defragmenter Tool

In Microsoft Windows, you can change the behavior of the Disk Defragmenter tool, and select the disk (partition) that you want to defragment.After installing Windows, when you display the list of disks for defragmentation from [Select volume] in the Disk Defragmenter tool, hidden partitions that are not mounted are also displayed. Hidden partition volumes are displayed with the following name:

\\?\Volume{Number String}

There is no problem when disk defragmentation is performed for volumes named "\\?\Volume{Number String}".

This behavior is by design.
