Create a repair request (EMEA)


This article tells you how to create a repair request by using the Xbox console management tool. You can find the console management tool on on the upper-right side of the home page.

If you've never used the console management tool before, the first step is to register your console. We ask you to register the console so we can learn your serial number and contact information. You only have to register your console once. After that, you'll be able to check your warranty status, check the status of an existing repair, or cancel a repair request, at any time.

To create a repair request

  1. Go to, and then click Manage your console repair.

  2. If you just registered your console, click Request a new repair, and then go to step 4.

    If you registered your console previously, sign in with your Microsoft account (formerly Windows Live ID). On the Device Service Home page, click the serial number for the console that needs to be repaired.

  3. On the Manage your device page, click Request a new repair.

  4. You'll be asked to confirm your customer information. Make sure that all of your information is correct, and then click Confirm.

  5. On the Request a Repair page, if your console is in warranty, go to step a. If your console is out of warranty, go to step b.
    1. Complete the form on this page, and then click Submit.

  6. On the Review my order page, click Place my order to complete the repair request.
