Description of the Office Outlook 2007 hotfix package (Outlook-x-none.msp): August 30, 2011


This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated August 30, 2011.


Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You configure Office Outlook 2007 to use a policy template that enables other users to forward an email message protected by Information Rights Management (IRM).
    • You apply the policy template to an email message protected by IRM and send the email message to another user.
    • The user forwards the email message.

    In this scenario, the message body in the forwarded email message is blank.

  • Office Outlook 2007 stops responding when you try to open an encrypted email message.

    Note This issue occurs because Key Management Service (KMS) is enabled in Office Outlook 2007. After you install the hotfix package, KMS is disabled. If you want to enable it again, visit Knowledge Base (KB) article 2553012.

  • Office Outlook 2007 does not trigger reminders when it is in online mode. This issue occurs after you apply the hotfix package that is described in KB article 2544404.
