- A connection to the Internet for the computer through a direct dial-up or broadband connection or through another computer on the home network.
- Internet Connection Sharing on a Windows XP-based computer for sharing a connection to the Internet with other computers on the home network. (However, for security reasons, we recommend that you use a router rather than Internet Connection Sharing.)
- Computer name, computer description, and workgroup name.
- File and printer sharing.
You can also use the wizard from the Windows XP CD-ROM to configure other computers in the home network. To do this, insert the CD-ROM, click Perform Additional Tasks, and then click the option to Set up a home or small office network.
