XADM: Problems When You Try to Add Many Global Address Lists to an Offline Address List

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
If you add more than 500 Global Address Lists (GALs) at one time when you are creating an Offline Address list (OAL) from a collection of GALs, Exchange System Manager may generate a Dr. Watson error message, and you may receive the following error message:
Exception 0xc00000fd occurred 0x71d91fb7 in mmc.exe
Microsoft visual C++ runtime library popup - runtime error mmc.exe r6025
If you include too many address lists in an OAL, the OAL Wizard generates a summary that is very large. Windows then tries to allocate storage on the stack to hold this summary, and the access violation occurs.
