BUG #: 6217 (ContentMaintenenace)

When you try to permanently delete many items (more than 5000) from a Microsoft Outlook folder, you may receive the following error message:
Some items could not be deleted. They were either moved or already deleted, or access was denied.

To work around this problem, select and delete fewer items at the same time. Repeat this procedure until all the items that you want to delete have been deleted.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

More Information

To delete items permanently from an Outlook folder, select the items that you want to delete, and then press SHIFT+DELETE. This procedure deletes the items completely from Outlook, and does not move them to the Deleted Items folder.
