If you try to drag a .cda file from Microsoft Windows Explorer to Windows Media Player, the CD does not play as you expect.
- Start Registry Editor and find the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\mci
- Export the cdaudio key, and then delete the cdaudio key.
- Restart your computer, and then try to play an audio CD.
You can expect to play audio CDs and not receive an error message.
