Overview

The Windows Desktop Search Add-in for Lotus Notes version 1.00.03.0000 is an updated protocol handler for Lotus Notes. This protocol handler lets you run index-based searches of locally stored Lotus Notes content. This content includes the following:
  • E-mail messages
  • Archived e-mail messages
  • Journal items
  • Contacts
  • Calendar items
After you install this add-in, Windows Desktop Search indexes Lotus Notes content every hour or when you click Index Now. After the Windows Desktop Search index has been updated, you can search the Lotus Notes content.



Note Uninstall any previous versions of the Add-in for Lotus Notes before you install this updated version. After you install this Add-in, select the databases that you want to include by using the Windows Desktop Search preferences screens.

This version of the Windows Desktop Search Add-in for Lotus Notes is supported for use with the following operating systems:

    • The Document Title Prefix field

  • Windows Desktop Search better handles database name changes and database moves
  • Windows Desktop Search removes deleted Lotus Notes items from the index so that the deleted items do not appear in search results
