The Live Meeting Conferencing Add-In does not create scheduled conferences or meetings when you use the Microsoft Outlook 2013 Calendar

Symptoms

You use either of the following two separate conference server configurations that the Live Meeting Conferencing Add-In recognizes: 
  • Lync Server conferencing services
  • Live Meeting Service conferencing services
For Lync Server conferences in Microsoft Outlook 2013

You use either the Schedule a Live Meeting or the Schedule a Conference Call options from the Conferencing tab in the Calendar. 

For Live Meeting Service conferences in Microsoft Outlook 2013

You use either the Schedule a Live Meeting or the Schedule a Conference Call options from the Service tab on the Calendar in Live Meeting.  

In either server configuration, you receive the following Microsoft Office Live Meeting error:
An error occurred while executing the command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator.
Note This issue occurs when you use either the 32-bit or 64-bit version for Microsoft Office 2013.

Cause

This issue is caused by the design of the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Live Meeting Conferencing Add-In.

Workaround

To work around this issue and use the Schedule a Live Meeting or Schedule a Conference Call feature in the Live Meeting Conferencing Add-In, follow these steps:
  1. Use the Outlook 2013 navigation bar to select Mail.
  2. Click the Outlook 2013 Conferencing or Live Meeting Service tab.
  3. Use the Schedule a Live Meeting or the Schedule a Conference Call options, as appropriate for your situations.
