- In Microsoft SQL Server 2005, you have a query that contains a predicate.
- The predicate contains the IS NOT NULL clause and another condition that are combined by the OR operator on the same column. For example, the query contains one of the following predicates.Example 1

a=@p or a is not null
- You have an index on the column.
- You run the query.
