Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV service pack or the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV version that contains this hotfix.

Code changes

Note Always test code fixes in a controlled environment before you apply the fixes to your production computers.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Add a new global variable in the Excise Insert RG Registers codeunit (13701), and then specify the variable as follows:

    • Name: RGSetOFfDate

    • DataType: Date

  2. Change the code in the InsertRG23APartIISale function in the Excise Insert RG Registers codeunit (13701) to the following:

    ...
    WITH GenJnlLine DO BEGIN

    // Add the following line.
    RGSetOFfDate := "RG/Service Tax Set Off Date";

    RG23APartII.LOCKTABLE;
    IF RG23APartII.FIND('+') THEN
    NextRGEntryNo := RG23APartII."Entry No." + 1
    ELSE
    NextRGEntryNo := 1;
    ...
  3. Change the code in the AdjustCrEntriesRG23A function in the Excise Insert RG Registers codeunit (13701) to the following:

    ...
    END;

    RG23APartII3.SETRANGE(Closed,FALSE);
    RG23APartII3.SETFILTER("Remaining Excise Amount",'>%1',0);
    RG23APartII3.SETRANGE("Location E.C.C. No.","Location E.C.C. No.");

    // Add the following lines.
    IF RGSetOFfDate <> 0D THEN
    RG23APartII3.SETRANGE("Posting Date",0D,RGSetOFfDate);
    // End of the lines.

    IF RG23APartII3.FINDSET THEN
    REPEAT
    RG23APartII4 := RG23APartII3;
    CompareAmt(RG23APartII4."Remaining BED Credit","BED Debit",RG23APartII4."Remaining Excise Amount");
    CompareAmt(RG23APartII4."Remaining AED(GSI) Credit","AED(GSI) Debit",RG23APartII4."Remaining Excise Amount");
    ...
  4. Change the code in the AdjustCrEntriesRG23C function in the Excise Insert RG Registers codeunit (13701) to the following:

    ...
    NextEntryNo := ExciseAsSTUtilisation2."Entry No.";
    END;
    RG23CPartII3.SETRANGE(Closed,FALSE);
    RG23CPartII3.SETFILTER("Remaining Excise Amount",'>%1',0);
    RG23CPartII3.SETRANGE("Location E.C.C. No.","Location E.C.C. No.");

    // Add the following lines.
    IF RGSetOFfDate <> 0D THEN
    RG23CPartII3.SETRANGE("Posting Date",0D,RGSetOFfDate);
    // End of the lines.

    IF RG23CPartII3.FINDSET THEN
    REPEAT
    RG23CPartII4 := RG23CPartII3;
    CompareAmt(RG23CPartII4."Remaining BED Credit","BED Debit",RG23CPartII4."Remaining Excise Amount");
    CompareAmt(RG23CPartII4."Remaining AED(GSI) Credit","AED(GSI) Debit",RG23CPartII4."Remaining Excise Amount");
    ...
