Description of the Office Outlook 2007 hotfix package (Outlook-x-none.msp): April 26, 2011

This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated April 26, 2011.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You send a meeting request email message to other users in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
    • A user proposes a new time for the meeting.
    • You open the meeting response email message.
    • You click the View All Proposals command.

In this scenario, the new proposed time is not visible in the list of available meeting proposals. Additionally, when you accept the meeting proposal, the meeting request time is still the previous time.

    BUG #: 28791 (OfficeQFE)
  • The To: field and the Cc: field are empty when you use Outlook 2007 to open an .eml file, and then print it. This hotfix lets users print the To: field and the Cc: field when Outlook 2007 uses Online mode or PIM-only mode.

    BUG #: 28859 (OfficeQFE)
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a contact that includes a company name in Office Outlook 2007.
    • You switch to the contacts, and then click the All Contact Items button in the folder bar.
    • You search for the company name in the search box.
    • You select the returned contact, and then click the New Contact from Same Company command in the Actions menu.

In this scenario, Outlook 2007 crashes.

    BUG #: 29218 (OfficeQFE)
  • Outlook 2007 may crash when you try to print multiple months by using the Month view in a calendar that contains lots of items.

    BUG #: 29236 (OfficeQFE)
  • In certain Add-in integration scenarios, calls to the activeexplorer.currentview property return useless data.

    BUG #: 29243 (OfficeQFE)
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a computer that is running Office Outlook 2007.
    • You set the value of the ObjectModelGuard registry value to 1.
    • You set the value of the AdminSecurityMode registry value to 3.
    • You start Office Outlook 2007, and then you click the Trust Center command.
    • You click the Programmatic Access option in the Trust Center window.

In this scenario, the Warn me about suspicious activity when my antivirus software is inactive or out-of-date (recommended) option is selected instead of the Always warn me about suspicious activity option. Additionally, you cannot change the options. After you apply the hotfix, no option in the Programmatic Access dialog box is selected when you set the ObjectModelGuard registry value to 1 and the AdminSecurityMode registry value to 3. You still cannot change the options in the Programmatic Access dialog box. Therefore, the feature still functions as before.

    BUG #: 29246 (OfficeQFE)
  • Email messages that contain multiple pages of text prints slowly in Office Outlook 2007.

This issue only occurs after youapplythehotfix package that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 973404.

    BUG #: 29342 (OfficeQFE)
  • A memory leak occurs when you create an application that repeatedly uses the IConverterSession::MIMEToMAPI method to convert MIME messages into MAPI messages in Office Outlook 2007.

    BUG #: 29351 (OfficeQFE)
  • When you search the offline address book of a user whose certificate or record is larger than 64 kilobytes, you receive the following error message:
The operation could be completed because an offline address is not available. Download a company offline address book.
    BUG #: 29542 (OfficeQFE)
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You enable the Cached Exchange Mode settings on your email account.
    • You access the public folder from the Exchange Server Service entry by using Microsoft Foundation Classes MAPI (MFCMAPI).
    • You delete the PR_DISPLAY_NAME property.
    • You log on to Outlook 2007 by using the email account.
    • You click the Public Folders folder in the left navigation pane.

In this scenario, the name of the Public Folders folder in the title bar displays incorrectly.

    BUG #: 29809 (OfficeQFE)
