Newly added tasks are not integrated when you integrate a project from a project server to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You integrate a project from a project server to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
  • You develop a plan that contains many tasks, for example, 3,000 tasks.
  • You publish the plan to the project server.
  • You add tasks to the plan.
  • You publish the plan to the project server.
In this scenario, the newly added tasks are not integrated to Microsoft Dynamics AX. Additionally, a "Project duplicate key" exception occurs.

Installation information

You must install the hotfix on a computer that runs the following Microsoft Project Server services:
  • Microsoft Project Server Events Service 2010
  • Microsoft Project Server Queue Service 2010
Note The installation of the hotfix does not work if Microsoft Project Server services resides on a computer without Microsoft Dynamics AX components.

If you have customizations for one or more of the methods or the tables that are affected by this hotfix, you must apply these changes in a test environment before you apply the hotfix in a production environment.
