Deprecated feature Database compatibility level 110 should have a unique external feature ID in Microsoft SQL Server 2014. However, another deprecated feature sp_control_dbmasterkey_password has the same external feature ID.
The issue occurs because external feature ID "274" is already assigned to another deprecated feature that is the stored procedure sp_control_dbmasterkey_password. Therefore, there are two features assigned to the same ID "274." This fix resolves the duplicated ID number by reassigning Database compatibility level 110 to a new feature ID number "275" for uniqueness.
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. Check out the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
The feature IDs are indicated in the objectID column when you run traces that include the Deprecation Announcement and Deprecation Final Support event classes. The IDs are useful to measure that deprecated features are in use on a given SQL Server. For more information, go to the following Microsoft websites:
