An update for the .NET Framework 4.5 in Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Vista is available


This update resolves an issue in the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 redistributable package dated August 16, 2012 on a computer that is running one of the following operating systems:
  • Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
  • Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
  • Windows Vista SP2
This issue causes the digital signatures on the files that are produced and signed by Microsoft to expire prematurely.

Update information

This update only contains the correctly signed versions of the files, and will replace the files in your .NET Framework 4.5 installation.

Note This update is not required if you have downloaded and installed the .NET Framework 4.5 redistributable package published on or after October 9, 2012 from the Microsoft Download Center, or if your computer is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
